Clear Aligner
Clear aligners offer a less visible alternative for straightening crooked teeth. Firstly, an impression is taken, followed by a second impression which is taken with finer material. This gives a very accurate final impression. Alternatively, you can ask your dr to only take one impression digitally via an intraoral scanner. A ‘study model’ is made from the impression. Several other models are made which represent the teeth moving into position. From these a set of models, the aligners are produced, each one designed to move the teeth by a tiny amount. The aligners are used in sequence and the teeth are gently moved into position. It is not recommended to skip aligners.
